Most irritating day

This day had to have been one of the most irritating I've had in awhile. Got home too late (worth it though) and slept too late (mildly upsetting). I had to drink the coffee at work - but that's not the worst part. Oh no. We were on a cleaning spree this morning per the manager. Those of us on the first shift had to clean the serving stations in their entirety. So... the second shift was exempt? Didn't think that was really fair. Whatever. Then I only had 4 tables during my shift. Walked away with $20. Wouldn't have been so bad had I not been there for almost 6 hours. When I left, they were a little busy and one of the managers asked why they were letting the expo (me) go. The other one told her it was because I made $20. I took that and basically stormed out the door. I really wanted chicken dumpling soup, but I really wanted to leave more. I almost smacked a couple walking in right in the face. I was on a war path. Not to mention I was cranky from not eating all day from waking up too late.

Mazatlan

I told Nathan about my crappy day. He immediately asked if I wanted to go get food or make some. I opted for dining out, lest he risk running into my "roommates" and we went to Mazatlan in downtown D$. That's the abbreviation for D Money, which is the nickname for Delafield. After taking about ten minutes to decide what we wanted, we finally ordered. There were too many good pictures, so I almost feel like I need to include all of them...

I guess I'll start with the chips and salsa. The chips were a little sweet/something I can't pinpoint, but the salsa was pretty good. I liked the flavor of the hot salsa with the mild salsa. Then I ordered an enchilada/tamale combo with beans and rice. SO CHEESY.

Look at all that cheesy goodness. I was skeptical at first, but being the Wisconsinite I am, I eventually gave in and even though I didn't know where to start, I ate all that cheese like a champ. Then the rest of the food. I was eating the enchilada, as seen in the top right image. I couldn't eat the tamale. Too much food!

We walked it off at a local cemetery. We looked at all the old stones. I just think about those people born in he 1820s... I learned about that in history class! It's just so nuts to see that and think about that. History blows my mind.

Le Duc's

BEST. ICE CREAM. EVER. I had a Kit Kat malt and Nathan had a... Chiquita sundae, keeping with the Mexican fashion.

Kit Kat malt. Enjoy this picture of me enjoying that, and then proceed to be jealous. Or not. It's your life.

Nathan: Thanks for putting me in a much better mood today. I really needed a pick-me-up after work, and this was just the thing =)
