WoW

Sorry, instead of keeping up with this... I have been playing World of Warcraft instead. Tomorrow will begin a new day of blogging.

I didn't forget!

I didn't forget about this blog... but I've been eating the same leftover chicken for like four days. Do you really want to see that?

The patio is supposed to be ballin'

Woke up. Another ten cups of coffee in my veins. It felt like the longest day ever in its entirety. Let's find out why.

Water Street Brewfest

Got to work and discovered that my section was the patio for once. Yay! Not so yay. It was too hot and no one wanted to sit outside. I only had four tables. How disappointing. The patio is usually hoppin' and I should have been able to make it rain. Spoiler: I didn't. I didn't even get sat for the first hour of work. Not to mention before that I was moving tables and sweating balls in the back because the carpets got cleaned so we had to move everything back. It's ok, though. I got a chance to eat breakfast.

Watermelon. I mean, we have about 400 pounds of it in the fridge. Why not?

My favorite thing that happened during my whole shift was when my first table asked me how I was. I told them I would probably be hot in a minute. What do you want from me? Outside was hot and humid. As evidenced by four tables. It's ok, though. I got an email and a phone call about my resume, so something must be pulling in my favor.

Sad news of the day: I had to take my hedgehog to the humane society =( I just couldn't give him the attention he needed with the hours I work. I'm the worst kind of person, returning him to the place I got him from. I really hope that he goes somewhere where he can get the love and attention he deserves.

Home

I got home from all my adventures at about 3 and sat on the couch, debating between a shower or a nap. I made a sandwich instead. Boar's Head maple honey turkey, gouda cheese, and some light mayo on an everything bagel thin.

Just when I was about to go take a nap, Leah knocks on the front door. I told her my brother wasn't home. She came in anyway and my brother arrived about five minutes later. This girl is like a vampire. Once you invite her in... =P

They were going to go to the Johnson Creek outlet mall. I was all, hey I made $23 today; why don't I come along and spend some money too? So that's what happened instead of doing either of the things I wanted.

Quizno's

First of all, I didn't even know this place was still around. I don't think I've even eaten at a Quizno's since 2004 or 2005. Second of all, still not impressed, though they have a much bigger selection than they did 500 years ago last time I was there.

Greek chicken flatbread sandwich. It was ok. I don't think I'll be hitting up a Quizno's any time in the near - or far - future.

Brother's truck

Just nibblin' on some sea salt and vinegar chips on the way to shopping. NBD. And in case anyone was wondering, sea salt and vinegar is the best flavor for chips.

I bought a thousand earrings, one set involving breakfast foods, and a couple bracelets. I didn't find one clothing item that I wanted to buy, which is weird for me. Or maybe it was because I couldn't justify spending $35 at an OUTLET MALL on a skirt.

I met up with my pal Curt at this wonderful establishment. We shared a beer sampler and I got some tasty buffalo chicken tenders. They weren't very impressive. It may also be because we got there an hour before they closed.

His appetizer was definitely more tasty than mine. Battered mushrooms. I just had to have one... or two...

Apologies for the lighting in both of these.

All in all it was a productive day. I didn't even get to do any of the things I originally wanted to.

10 cups of coffee for breakfast

I spent this entire day off taking care of adult things and posting my resume on every job site imaginable. I was also left with the question, why is it so hard to find out where my student loans come from? I had to call three different places. Shut the front door. I should only have to call one place, and that one place should be the place from whence my loans came.

During this time, I enjoyed about ten cups of coffee. Mostly because I like coffee, but even more so because I can't talk to people unless I've had at least six cups (relax, the mugs I drink out of hold two cups, so it was only three mugs).

Nathan was watching Pitch Black last night. I told him to stop because I wanted to watch it too. I even enticed him with the prospect of me making dinner and watching it. He agreed. He finished watching it anyway. Sneaky. I still made him dinner, since I am so wonderful.

Nathan's

Went to Best Buy on the way to the grocery store. I saw about a million display laptops hanging out, connected to the internet. The only logical thing to do was leave my blog on all of them. We headed to the grocery store. Bought a ton of salad goodies, and also chips and salsa since we wouldn't make it through the salad prepping phase without nourishment.

Chips and salsa while the chicken finished pan frying. I don't know how I didn't know this already, and maybe I did but forgot, but plain chicken is really bland. Anyway.

Here's the salad. It was a really tasty summertime salad. Here's what I used:

Summer Chicken Salad (better name later?)
1 head red lettuce
~2 chicken breasts, cooked however you want
strawberries
raspberries
blueberries
cucumber
red onion
shredded cheese of choice
dressing of choice (we used parmesan peppercorn)

Then we watched Pitch Black. I'm still not sure how I feel about Vin Diesel about an actor. I think it's because Vin Diesel sounds like a porn name to me, but maybe that's just me. I liked the movie though. I just wanted to see the aliens, but maybe it's best left to the imagination. I was kind of upset at the end of the movie. Watch it if you haven't seen it and then you will know why.

Home

I arrived home and was kind of hungry. I raided the fridge and knew it was summer.

Dad cut up a watermelon.

Sunday Funday

So after work last night, my brother had some people over. I also had some people over. We mostly just sat outside, enjoyed a few adult beverages, swam, and went in the sauna. It was a really fun night and I'm not sure how Nathan still likes me after seeing me wake up in the morning. We cleaned and went to breakfast.

Spring City

Again with the bloodies, coffee, and water. First of all, it was the best day ever when I saw apple cinnamon jelly. Second, I still have no idea where Nathan puts all his food. Here are some wonderful pictures of me eating things.

Sausages and eggs and toast and hash browns - oh my! And my cousin making a wonderful guest appearance. Two eggs, over hard, with sausage links, sour dough toast, and hash browns. Yummo!

We then went on a mission to dispose of the evidence from the weekend. You can see post-breakfast shenanigans here: Dancing (also make sure you check out other videos on my channel... it's something else I'm working on. There's even one from breakfast!).

Patio at home

Leah came over after work yesterday and Zach went to purchase chicken and potato salad for dinner. She basically ate the entire two pounds of potato salad on her own.

There I am with one of the few forkfuls I got of deluxe potato salad. I don't care how much I detest Sentry, that is pretty much the best potato salad in the world. I'm also an uncivilized human, so I don't wait for knives to cut into the chicken with. My brother definitely grills the best Cajun chicken. So juicy and spicy.

We cleaned up the patio, then decided it was time for ice cream.

The greatest thing I could ever see at a frozen custard place is the flavor of the day being Blue Moon. I don't even need time to think when it comes to Blue Moon. This is the exact conversation that happened when I went up to the window:

Girl: Welcome to LeDuc's, how may I help you?
Me: I need some fries and three scoops of Blue Moon with a cone on top of it.

And all my dreams came true.

Blue Moon. That is all that needs to be said about the frozen custard of deliciousness. And fries. I was regretting the fry decision. Oh, who am I kidding? No I wasn't. Fries are pretty much my weakness. I don't care how bad they are. Sour cream and chive fries, cheese fries, sweet potato fries... ALL THE FRIES!!!

Slowest Saturday ever

I am so tired today. My parents went out of town and I couldn't sleep because my brother had people over, two of which I didn't know, so I'm laying in bed worrying about if anything is going to get broken or stolen or if they were drinking too much and they would crash their car on the way home. You know, just petty stuff like that.

Couch at home

I woke up later than I usually do, so I only had time for eight cups of coffee. And this.

A delectable low-cal English muffin with crunchy peanut butter. I know I have previously stated this, but crunchy peanut butter is the only kind of peanut butter. Smooth? Who even likes smooth peanut butter? It's a waste of peanuts if you ask me.

Went to work for a decent lunch shift. Nathan came with a stack of froyo coupons for his place and I was rid of them in a short amount of time. Us girls, we love our froyo. You guessed it - none of the guys wanted them. That's fine. More for us.

Froyo

Leah decided that we just had to go to BerrySimple on our break since I handed out the coups. Nathan told me about this caramel turtle flavor by describing it as "effin raw." So... do I eat it? Yes. Yes I ate it. I died and went somewhere wonderful when it hit my lips.

Chocolate Caramel Turtle flavor with pecans and white chocolate chips. Go eat it. You will thank me.

Home

Stopped at Jimmy John's before froyo. Ate it after we got back to the house. Like a boss.

Here we see a wild #6 vegetarian in its natural habitat, its natural habitat being my digestive system. I kind of did it my own way though: extra tomatoes, extra cucumbers, add onion, add hot pepper, no mayo, add dijon. Yum yum yum! Except the cucumbers tasted kind of bitter so I ended up pulling all of them off =(

And then we went back to work, where we experienced the slowest Saturday of our lives. I think Leah only had two tables and I wasn't even busy once. Didn't even meet my tip out goal.

Happy birthday, Sam!

I wasn't hungry this morning, so I just enjoyed about ten cups of coffee instead of eating. Until I arrived at work. It is my manager, Sam's, birthday today. There was Starbucks (of which I did not partake) and homemade birthday cupcakes!

Water Street Breweryyyy

Fatty with a cupcake.

Home

I came home on break, but I had Cousins with me. Mmm hmmm. For my favorite subs, it's definitely a close race between Cousins and Jimmy John's. I have to have the Jimmy love. I used to work for the elephant hunter. Even if I don't support Jimmy's wild safaris, I will eat the soul out of any of the subs there. That's right. The soul.

Turkey sub, light mayo with no salt. Turkey is already salty enough. I don't need more salt. At least I'm in the enclosed tonight. I should be done at a relatively sane time.

Dwelling

After a somewhat lame shift (though I did meet my tip out goal), I arrived home to find dog pee all over the floor. For those who are uninformed, my dog Cleo is 13 1/2 and has to wear a diaper, lest she piss where she pleases. But alas, there, on the counter, were chicken enchiladas.

Yup. And now I am sitting on the couch. The exciting life I lead. You're jealous, I know.
